Job Title: Product Development Engineer, China
　　SUMMARY

　　Report to Product Development Manager China, the incumbent of this position’s main functions are to lead or participate in the design, engineering, and development of Heat Transfer automotive system products such as industrial radiator, passage vehicle radiator, charge air cooler, condenser, EGR cooler, turbocharger etc. as necessary for North America aftermarket section with suppliers in China. 

　　Main Duties and Responsibilities

　　-Validate prototypes at supplier site and participate in all product design and review activities with suppliers, manage project and follow up
　　-Coordinate with supplier and headquarter engineering team in product development activities
　　-Validate key component, follow up design validation and process validation testing with supplier
　　-Research testing standards such as SAE, ASTM, ISO, China national standard etc. and arrange external lab test. Participate in design and implementing of test methods with the development team and suppliers adapting to aftermarket requirement
　　-Participate in the patent research and redesign
　　-Assist return goods analysis and participate continuous improvement projects with supplier on site
　　-Support and follow up on engineering change and improve working instructions with suppliers
　　-All other related tasks

　　QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY

　　Required knowledge:

　　-Automotive system and components

　　-General manufacturing process such as brazing, machining, stamping, crimping, metal surface treatment and assembly process etc. 
　　-Hydrodynamics (asset)
　　-Rubber material property and sealing design (asset)
　　-Plastic injection molding expertise (asset)
　　-Automotive product DFMEA, PFMEA (asset)
　　-MS Office - Intermediate computer skills 
　　-CAD software experience – Solid Works, AutoCad or equivalent

　　Criteria considered when hiring:

　　-University Degree-mechanical engineering with related experience in automotive product development.
　　-Bilingual (Mandarin, English reading and writing)
　　-Must be available to travel on call and work flexible hours. 

　　Required Experience:

　　-3 to 6 years of mechanical engineering product development experience in automotive product design or related experience
